10/03/12 MY THOUGHTS CONCERNING Pulpit Freedom Sunday

10/03/12 MY THOUGHTS CONCERNING Pulpit Freedom Sunday

I am glad for the coming event on October 7, which is called Pulpit Freedom Sunday. I hope there will be many pastors and churches that will come back to the reality that Jesus is the only Head of the Church, and not the State or the IRS. I hope their efforts bear good fruit.

As for me, I will do what I have always done. I have never let the fear of the State or the love of money or the deception of the enemy determine my message. I am not sending the IRS a recording of my message, because the State has always known what I believe and preach and where I am located.

I hope these preachers will take new ground and hold it next week, next month, a lifetime, and will not surrender it, even if the State knocks on their door, or until Jesus comes back, whichever happens first.

What an indictment on the American Church that it takes a SPECIAL SUNDAY to recognize and reclaim the Lordship of Christ over His Church.

Let me also say; my commitment to the Lordship of Christ over His Church has cost me greatly.
It has cost me friends, family, fellow believers that chose the easy, more politically correct, safer, more productive way.
Even those that I risked my family, freedom and fortune for have turned against me, referring to my stance as a focus on "issues."
People that I led to Christ, discipled in the faith, married, counseled, trained for ministry, dedicated their children and served in various other ways, have not only turned from me, they have turned against me.

I still love them and still do not understand their anger with me, since I offered nothing but love and support, even when they took a different path. The "issue" of Christ's Lordship is a great truth, but it is a divider.

I do not regret either the choice I made or the path that I have taken.
