09/07/12 QUALIFIED GUIDES

Salvation cannot be understood by a sinner, since it is spiritually discerned, neither can holiness of heart and life be understood by those who have not been entirely sanctified.

The sinner has to enter salvation in order to understand it and the believer must enter into entire sanctification before he is able to understand it. This is why sinners often deny the reality of salvation and why believers often deny the reality of life n the Spirit (filling, purifying, controlling and empowering).

It must be entered into in order to have an understanding of it. This is why you should not get your salvation doctrine from a sinner or your holiness doctrine from those who don't believe or experience entire sanctification.

I find that the unsaved will deny, criticize and ridicule salvation, likewise I find believers who have not been entirely sanctified will deny, criticize and ridicule life in the Spirit.

It is obvious that the final authority on God's truth is God and His truth. We must accept what the Bible says on any and all issues. We can trust the Bible.

Also, we can trust the Holy Spirit. He will lead us into all truth, and He will never lead us against the Bible. As far as human teachers are concerned, they must also be consistent with the Bible and accept it as the final authority.

But I was thinking:
Why would I listen to a person denounce salvation, who has never been saved, if the Bible says you can be saved and explains salvation?
Why would I listen to a person who denounces life in the Spirit, if the Bible says we can be, must be filled with the Spirit, purified by the Spirit, controlled by the Spirit and empowered by the Spirit?

It would be like listening to a person give directions on how to reach a destination, to which they have never been, in fact, a place they do not even believe exists, while they are rejecting the tried and proven directions on how to get there, which have been provided by the one who has blazed the trail and made the journey.
