08/19/12 TRUE TODAY

08/19/12 TRUE TODAY

Here is a short and simple, yet profound Biblical statement.
Proverbs 17:15
(15) He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

TRUE TODAY
God considers those who put approval on sin, as being abominable; and God considers those who condemn believers for living righteously, as being abominable. Both the same.

Proverbs 17:15
(15) He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

We live at a time when all manner of wickedness is accepted by society; and we live at a time when faithful followers of Christ are maligned as hypocrites and accused of being deluded because they have turned from sin to a life of righteousness.

Isaiah 5:20
(20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Everyone needs to be saved from sin; God is not willing that any should be lost, but that all should come to repentance; Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost; and Jesus saves His people from their sins.

1 Corinthians 15:34
(34) Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Salvation is waking up from a sinful stupor to righteous living. Salvation is salvation from sin. Anything less is not salvation.
