I was thinking about it this morning and decided I would mention it to you.
I sinned all I wanted yesterday, and feel better because of it. You see, I sinned all I wanted, because I did not want to sin.
It is not that I am a good guy, it is that I am a saved guy; saved from sin by God's grace.
Saved from the penalty, pollution and power of sin.
It is not me, it is Christ in me.
My boast is not in myself, but in Christ, Who always causes me to triumph.
I mention this to encourage those who are bound by sin to look to Jesus. He will save you to the uttermost.
When I refused to trust/follow Jesus, I was held captive by Satan to do his will.
When I refused to trust/follow Jesus, I was held captive by Satan to do his will.
There are people who cannot stop lying, drugging, abusing children, lusting, philandering, stealing, whoring and all manner of other sin and perversion.
First, people have sin in their lives, but eventually sin has them and they are held in the steel shackles of Satan.
The only deliverance from the pleasures and the tyranny of sin is a living faith in the living God, Who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
