07/04/12 SENIORS MEETING

We had a good service with the seniors last evening.

I pointed out that the winds and waves of adversity are stronger than we can handle,

therefore we need to hold on (persevere, continue, abide, remain), and

we need to hold onto something secure, continue in something established.

We are to

cleave to Jesus (Ac. 11:23),

continue in grace (Ac. 13:43) and

continue in faith (Ac. 14:22).

We have an OPPORTUNITY, we have an OBLIGATION, we have an OPTION.

God calls us and enables us, but does not force us to continue, to persevere in Jesus, in grace and in faith.

Life is not a party, a circus, an amusement park;

it is a war zone and we enter the kingdom of God through afflictions and trouble (Ac. 14:22) and determination (Mt. 11:12).

THEREFORE, HOLD ON.
