I- Christian parents should raise their children to...
A- Fight the good fight of faith for eternal life (1 Tm. 6:12) rather than fight for the carnal and passing kingdoms of this world (Jn. 18:36; Re. 11:15).
B- Wield spiritual weapons to bring down spiritual fortresses (Ep. 6:10-18) rather than carnal weapons against flesh and blood (2 Co. 10:3-4).
II- Young Christians need to understand...
A- The kingdom of heaven suffers (spiritual) violence and the (spiritually) violent take it by force (Mt. 11:12).
B- Followers of/believers in Christ, need to continue in the faith, because it is through much tribulation (oppression, affliction, distress) that we enter the kingdom of God (Ac. 14:22).
C- Those who will live godly will suffer persecution (2 Tm. 3:12-14).

(10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
(11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

(14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
(15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
(16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
(17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
(18) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
(3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
