05/22/12 TEMPTATION SIN REPENTANCE
1- Sin is more likely if we are exposed to a temptation.
SOME TEMPTATIONS are totally avoidable and some can be delayed. Once we have been exposed, the mind is breached.
2- Sin is more likely if we think about a temptation.
WE SHOULD bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ; think on holy things; possess the mind of Christ.
3- Sin is more likely if we are comfortable with a temptation.
WE SHOULD avoid the very appearance of evil.
4- Sin is more likely if align ourselves with a temptation.
BAD COMPANY corrupts good morals; come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord and touch not the unclean thing.
CONCLUSION: It is easier to be godly if we rule out temptation, reject temptation, resist temptation, renounce temptation.
BUT IF YOU SIN, REPENT as quickly, definitely, finally, violently as you can.
