In the natural realm,
we do not have to know a person in order to believe in his existence and his accomplishments;
we do not have to experience something in order to believe it is true;
we do not have to visit a place in order to believe it is real.
Therefore, we should not be surprised when God enables us, in the spiritual realm;
to believe in heaven;
to believe in the experience of salvation;
to believe in Jesus Christ, Who died for our sin, rose again for our justification and empowers us by His Spirit to live righteously in this present evil world.

(6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
This is kind of interesting. The many gods of the pagans are inadequate for our needs,
but our One (1 Co. 8:6),
True (Jn. 17:3; 1 Th. 1:9; 1 Jn. 5:20), and
Living (Ps. 42:2; 84:2; Je. 10:10; Da. 6:20; Mt. 16:16; 2 Co. 6:16; 1 Ti. 4:10; He. 3:12),
God is our All in all (1 Co. 15:28).
He gives us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Pe. 1:3).
