Parents are given the opportunity/responsibility to guide and develop these inborn traits.
Without godly direction, the good traits will be corrupted and the bad traits will run wild.
Godly, constant, self denying parenting can lead to salvation and spiritual success.
Anything else can rob the child of God's best.
It always comes back to, "Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Jesus."
