10/25/12 REALLY GOOD NEWS
The Bible shows us time and again that God has provided everything necessary for life and godliness (2 Pe. 1:3), and it also indicates that God is willing and able to save us from all sin (He. 7:25). Salvation is deliverance from sin, not just the penalty of sin (Mt.1:21). This is definitely Good News.
2 Peter 1:3
(3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Hebrews 7:25
(25) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Matthew 1:21
(21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
