Okay, I expect a sewer to spew out filth, so I am not shocked when I hear non-professing, unconverted people use crude and objectionable language.
But we hear it more often and more openly and I lay part of the blame on unsaved clergy (wolves in sheep's clothing).
It has become acceptable among some religious workers (I can't call them ministers or preachers), to not only approve but promote support and use unholy communications.
These people listen to it, allow their children to watch it or listen to it (music, TV, movies), promote preachers who excuse and even use it and they sometimes use it themselves.
A good dose of salvation would change them.
Ephesians 4:29
(29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Colossians 3:6-8
(6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
(7) In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
(8) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Jude pointed out that evil speaking "brute beasts" were referred to by Enoch as those who not only speak against God, but also murmur (actually criticize God's leading, begrudge God's provision), complain (find fault with God's leading).
Jude 1:14-16
(14) And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
(15) To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
(16) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
Murmuring and complaining are bitter waters which do not flow from a living spring. They are poisons that erupt from a poisoned heart.

Hebrews 3:12-14
(12) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
(13) But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
(14) For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Everyday, every step is a decision to either follow or fall away.
Matthew 16:24
(24) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
2 Timothy 2:12-13
(12) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
(13) If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
