09/16/12 ACCEPTABLE BOASTING
I was thinking about it. If I wounded myself in an attempted suicide and fell into a disease ridden pond, filled with animal refuse, then a person pulled me to safety, saved my life, dressed my wounds, washed me clean, fed and clothed me, and nursed me back to health, giving me a reason to live: no one would think I was bragging about my own accomplishments if I thanked my rescuer.
Yet, when we praise Jesus for saving us from our guilt, filth, hopelessness and helplessness, Satan convinces some people that we are bragging about our own good works and self righteousness.
Satan will rob God anyway he can. Be careful, do not aid and abet Satan in robbing God of His glory.
