When part of a set (of anything) is broken or lost it usually diminishes the value and beauty of that set. It is not that the remaining parts are any less valuable in their own right, but the disruption of the set is a constant reminder of what should have been, what could have been.
It is true in relationships too. When a friend or loved one is no longer part of the "circle," the "circle" is broken, at least for period of time. The loss of the broken circle goes further than most people realize.
DON'T BE GUILTY
When a person helps another person commit a crime, he is called, "an accessory." In fact, at least in some states, if a victim is killed during the commitment of a crime, all of the people involved in the crime are held responsible for the killing, even if they did not actually "pull the trigger." It is a terrible thing to be guilty of destroying a relationship, robbing a family of a loved one.
It is tragic enough that we all suffer the loss of loved ones to death, whether through man-made or natural causes. However, it is more tragic when a person chooses to cut off loved ones for selfish reasons or for no reasons at all.
Death can be the final separator, or at least the final separator in this present life, leaving a family grieving for a loved one, whose place can never be filled by anyone else. How much more devastating when a person chooses to cut off all family ties for the few short years that we are able to spend together here?
Before you are cut off from a loved one through death, make sure you do not cut them off.

Do not be an accessory to the sin of destroying relationships or robbing your family.
