07/12/12 FATALISM IS FATAL
The more I deal with Fatalism (disguised as the sovereignty of God) the more I realize how diabolic it is. Fatalism actually blames everything on God, while denying it. Every area of Christian life and ministry is skewed by the denial of, and misrepresentation of free will, supposedly to honor God. A predisposition to this error blinds a person to the obvious truths of Scripture.
There is no reasoning with anyone, even from the Scriptures, when they embrace fatalism, even in varying degrees. It does not matter what the Scripture says, because the meaning must yield to the theological view point. Fatalism is a door slammer and window nailer, shutting out light and closing the mind.
