Whew, don't you feel safer? Another dangerous Bible study leader in jail. Go Amerika. I told you so.
If you think this is about zoning or health and safety instead of control, you are soooo.... ..... .... uh.... er.... wrong. Yes, I will settle for, "wrong."
Most folks are willing to have a two headed church, with Jesus as the dummy head or figure head. They really think that God has given the State the authority over the Church. Guess who those folks really worship.
BTW, this is not a new subject to me. I have thought about it and studied it for 45 years (mid 60s) and have been personally involved in it for over 30 years (since early 70s). My involvement with serving only one Head of the Church has taken me to North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, and South Carolina, since the early 80's.
Another thing... The State keeps looking for that fatal chink in the armor, that gap in the wall, and when it gets a chance, it will put the death grip on all Bible believing churches, which by the way, will not make much of a stir. This is true for two reasons:
1- Most people will be glad to see the "crazies" under control or out of the picture, and
2- There will not be that many churches or believers involved, since there really are not that many Bible believing churches or Christians anyway.
Note also, the true Bible believers will be lumped together with groups that do not love, serve and follow Christ (like the Koresh group in Texas or the Westboro Baptist loonies), in an attempt to qualify their persecution of us, the true followers of Christ and His word.
Mainstream, Americanized Christianity will be glad to be rid of us too, the "trouble making fringe." We have been an embarrassment long enough. Remember, there is no TWO HEADED CHURCH. Christ alone is the Head of the Church. Anything more or less, or different, is false religion.
When men in uniform do not take action, it is not their courage that is lacking. Many of these people will readily die for what they believe to be true, and they are willing to die for me and you. It is their understanding that is the problem. They have been misled and are not committed to Biblical Christianity or the foundations of American freedom.
Another thing to remember, some who swore to take up arms against all enemies, domestic and foreign have also come to the realization that Christ's kingdom is not of this world, and therefore they will not take up the sword of steel against anyone.
We meet people everyday who never knew the wonderful land we lived in and called, "America, the Beautiful"... "Sweet land of Liberty"... "The home of the brave and the land of the free." We are now strangers in our own country with memories that are as unwelcome as the Constitution. Our children, grandchildren and succeeding generations will never know the love, loyalty and liberty that we experienced as citizens of the greatest country to ever exist on the face of the earth.
