07/07/12 ONE OF US IS CONFUSED

There are people who are amazed when they ask me if I, as a Christian, sin, and I say, "No."

The question is not to be confused with:

Have I ever sinned;

Did I ever sin after being saved;

Can I ever sin again;

Am I inherently sinless or,

Am I sinless by my own power.

But then again, I am amazed that they say "Yes," they do sin.

I am amazed because

God's grace is sufficient to save me from all sin,

His word empowers me to live righteously and

His Spirit leads me not into temptation, but delivers me from the evil one.

In fact, through faith I overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, yet they readily and unashamedly sin and then boast about it. They accuse me of dishonoring God by my testimony, but think that sin in their life glorifies God.
