If you
study with people,
fellowship with people,
worship with people,
read from people and
listen to people
who believe that sinning is part of being a Christian, you are going to be
less repulsed by sin,
less resistant to sin,
less ashamed of sin,
less opposed to sin,
less obedient to God.
If you
study with people,
fellowship with people,
worship with people,
read from people and
listen to people
who believe that God delivers Christians from all sin in this present evil world, you are going to be
more repulsed by sin,
more resistant to sin,
more ashamed of sin,
more opposed to sin,
more obedient to God.
(Christian BELIEF is active faith in revealed truth).
Bad company corrupts good morals.
PASSAGES...

(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
(9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Proverbs 13:20

Hebrews 10:22-26
(22) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
(23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
(24) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
(25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
(26) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Some are probably saying, "David is taking passages out of context." No, I am not. However, I am not addressing the context of each passage, I am pointing out a principle in the passage. The context of a passage does not negate the Biblical foundation of principles found in a passage.

Remember, my point is, it is Biblical to turn from sin and to be close to people who turn from sin. This is the message of the entire Bible and it is attested by these passages. Don't miss THE message by focusing on a theology.
