05/12/12 THE WAY OF HOLINESS

05/12/12 THE WAY OF HOLINESS

The longer I live the more obvious the Bible truth becomes, "Without holiness (the sanctification) no man shall see the Lord."

THE WAY OF HOLINESS
Isaiah 35:8
(8) And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Ultimately, the way of holiness begins and ends with God.
He is the Author and Finisher of our faith (He. 12:2),
He is the Way (Jn. 14:6) and
He is the giver of every good and perfect gift (Ja. 1:17).

Experientially and personally (from the human side), the highway (the exalted way) of holiness is
a journey of faith, from beginning to end, for without faith it is impossible to please Him (He. 11:6) and it is
a life set from from sin, resulting in a fruitful life of holiness here and eternal life hereafter (Ro. 6:22).

Holiness is the way of
faith,
love,
purity,
humility,
kindness,
courage,
strength,
wisdom,
truth,
self denial,
total surrender to God.
Holiness is the way of Christ likeness.
Holiness (The Sanctification, as in the Greek) is the only way, the required way (He. 12:14; 1 Th. 4:7-8).

Holiness is the work of God's grace, not the works of human flesh and endeavor (1 Th. 5:23-24).
