03/17/12 HARDNESS OF HEART GOES WITH DARKNESS
Through the years I have seen people with great talent, intelligence, gifts and drive, waste it all because they failed to let God soften their hearts and humble their spirits.
Everyday I see people with great potential in Christ who are living far below their inheritance. No matter what you say, no matter what God says, they refuse to see, and as the saying goes, there is none so blind as he who will not see. The harder they harden their hearts the darker they become. The darker they become, the harder their hearts.
This is why it is good to have people of spiritual depth we can turn to and ask them to critique us. Remember, Ephesians 5:21 tells the local body to be submissive to one another. Again, the importance of the local body.
