02/07/12 WORDS MEAN WHAT THEY SAY, OR...
Imagine, if you can (but you can't), what it would be like
If "words" had no meaning, or
If "words" meant whatever everyone/anyone wanted them to mean, or
If no one could assign any meaning to any sound.
We could make noise but there would be no words or intelligent communication. The fact is, words mean what they say or they do not mean anything.
Likewise, the Bible means what it says or it does not mean anything. STUDY, UNDERSTAND, TRUST AND OBEY THE WORD.
The same principle is true concerning Jesus. Remember, Jesus is The Logos, The Word. Jesus is the expression of the thoughts of God. Either Jesus is who and what the Bible says He is or He is nothing. In fact, Jesus and the written record of God share the same name, because both the Bible and Christ are the revelation of God's will.

No one can change the nature and message and ministry of Christ without corrupting the Person of Christ and the revelation of God.
No one can add to Christ, no one can take from Christ.
A changed, corrupted Christ is not Christ.
The Christ of false religions and cults is not the true Christ. The Christ of personal invention is not the truth Christ.
We can only know the Truth of God when we know the Son of God, since He is the Truth.
Life only fits together and is comprehendible when we see life through Christ, since He is Life.
