Here is a sobering issue to consider. How many friends do you have on Facebook? How many of your FB friends died last year. How many of your non FB friends died last year? The annual mortality rate, worldwide, has been averaging one out of every 113 people. Death took at least 2 of my 140 FB friends last year, and I also had non FB friends die. Make no mistake: Death is not our friend; Death does not respect age, station, gender, race, educaion; Death is our enemy. The Good News is: Jesus saves us from our final enemy, Death.
1 Corinthians 15:52-55
(52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
(54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
(55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
