01/01/12 HAPPY or BLESSED?
I use the same nomenclature as everyone else, "Happy New Year." But "happy" is dependent on favorable happenings, chance, circumstances. Sometimes happiness eludes us. It is far better to be BLESSED, "Divinely Favored."
In Christian parlance, JOY and GLADNESS are rooted in BLESSEDNESS. Some people are not having a Happy New Year because of tragedy, but for them, there is still the possibility of being blessed, in the midst of their troubles. Remember and love your suffering friends.
