11/09/12 IF YOU'RE HAPPY/SAVED AND YOU KNOW IT

There is a children's song that can be sung various ways. There is the "Happy" version and the "Saved" version.

Part of the song says, "If you're (either happy or saved) and you know it..." I have no problem with the less evangelical version. I think they both have their place and time.

Another part of the song is important to notice though. It says, "If you're (happy or saved) then your (FACE or LIFE) will really show it."

When we sing the SAVED version, we should use the LIFE version with it. Because, a smile can be deceiving, but a life lived in the power of the resurrection is only possible by the saved. So, "If you're saved and you know it, then your life will really show it."

A life lived in the flesh will ruin and rot.

A life lived in the Spirit will show forth the grace of God.
